We all know eating healthy is important, but sometimes it’s hard to know exactly “WHAT” we should be eating. One of the easiest ways to make sure you’re on the right track is to focus on getting enough protein and fibre. These two nutrients are super important for our overall health, and adding more of them to your meals can make a huge difference in how you feel every day! 

Why is protein so important? 

Protein is like the building block for your body. Think of protein as the “repair crew” for your body, helping to fix cells and build new ones! The general recommendation is to aim for at least 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight (about 56 grams per day for an average adult). When we include a good source of protein in our meals, we feel fuller for longer, and we don’t have that midday energy slump.
